Status

ECO4 runs until 31 December 2026, as confirmed by Ofgem. Work must be completed and lodged by the end date, so installers are prioritising jobs that can be surveyed and finished in time. If you may be eligible, the practical advice is to start the check now.

Who may qualify

  • Households receiving certain means-tested benefits
  • Households referred by a council or health route under the flexible eligibility rules
  • Homes with a lower EPC rating, typically D to G for owner-occupiers, and E to G for private tenants

Measures

Loft insulation, cavity wall insulation, room-in-roof insulation, underfloor and solid wall insulation, often alongside heating upgrades. The scheme takes a whole-house approach, so an installer may propose more than one measure.

How to apply

Through an energy supplier's scheme or an approved installer. There is no central application. The Ofgem page describes the scheme and the obligated suppliers.

Check before the deadline

We ask the eligibility questions and match you with a scheme-registered installer where one covers your postcode.
